Over the years we have received some pretty strange calls regarding the screws used to attach plantation shutter magnets to window sills and or shutter frames.  The correct screw that should be used on your shutter magnets is a pan head with a phillips drive. These screws are included with all of our shutter magnets.  The phillips driver is one that most every homeowner is familiar with.

If you find that your existing shutter magnets were installed using some strange screw with a driver you are not familiar with, the picture below should help in identifying the type of driver you will need to remove it.  Most of these drivers can be purchased at any good hardware or automotive store.
