I purchased more than 80 butt hinges (H277) for use to convert all the brass shutter hinges in my home. I took order of approximately 36 hinges first, to be sure they would work. . I wanted to replace the brass hinges on my plantation shutters with white ones. I looked all over town and could not find the right size. Thankfully, someone suggested Shutter Medic. Hinges are a nice brushed nickel hinge. The holes in the hinges were close to the holes of the hinges replaced but not exact so I had to drill some pilot holes to put in the new screws. Other than that, the hinges were great and work well.

These hinges are of good quality. They did not fit our previous holes exactly, but with a little extra drill work, we made them fit. Shutter Medic saved the day. We could find these no where else.

Ordered these to replace rusted hinges on plantation shutters installed by previous homeowner. These were the only white hinges I could find in this shape. Fit perfectly. Screw heads are also painted white, so looks finished. Good quality all sound. Enabled us to save the shutters.

These hinges fit perfectly. We originally had brass hinges, because the company that installied the shutters wanted 18 dollars a hinge. That would have been 360 dollars plus tax and installation. This was a no brainer purchase to buy from ShutterMedic. Plus they look awesome. Thank you!

Repainted several older (10-20 years?) shutters and threw out the old brass hinges because I wanted to replace them with brushed nickel. Could not find the sizes in "thin butted" nickel hinges ANYWHERE (Home Depot, Lowe's, ACE, builder hardware stores, and local shutter manufacturers) except for on this site. Like Stanley Rose said on 1/29/2012, "the holes were very slightly different," but they work just fine.
