Louver Kits are for use on WOOD Plantation shutters only. They are not for use on plastic or vinyl shutters.
No special tools or skill are needed
.
Instructions are written with the average homeowner in mind. They describe how to easily remove your old damaged louver and how to install your new replacement louver.
Each kit includes:
One custom made solid wood replacement louver ready to install.
One nylon louver pin and one louver repair pin.
One louver staple to connect louver to tilt rod.
Shutter Staple Glue.
Easy to follow instructions containing photos.

Louver Replacement

The Louver Replacement Kit is excellent! The four louvers were pre-primed with an smooth finish which just needed a coat of paint. I was a 'rookie' at this type of work, but it turned out great!

Louver Replacement
Excellent! Exactly what I needed and the instructional video on how to replace the louver was very helpful- the only thing that I used differently from the video recommendation was a small, fine hack saw to remove the damaged louver- this was much easier than trying to cut it with a utility knife. Thank you Shutter Medic!

I came home from vacation and my dog chewed through several of the slats. Knowing the shutters were custom built I didn't think there was a way to replace them. Searching on the web I came across shuttermedic. Watched the replacement video and submitted an order for new slats. Replacing the shutters was easy and the finished product is excellent. Tried for months to get someone out to repair our shutters that our parrot chewed. Ran into a guy in our neighborhood that came by and said easy to fix myself and cheaper then he could. Gave me the name fshuttermddic. Parts were delivered quick and absolutely simple to remove old and install new. Looks as good as new again!!

Replacement louvers were easy to install and work perfect. I spray painted them with a white gloss and they match perfect. easy remedy for damaged louvers. also patrick was very patient, helpful and clear with the process. Will use this company again (if needed) thank you

Lifesaver
My dog also chewed up my plantation shutters in response to neighborhood fireworks. I was sick at the thought of having to purchase new custom shutters for four large windows. When I found these Louver Replacements I was concerned about how they would match, but I ordered the elliptical 4-1/2" primed ones and they were perfect! I used the Louver Repair Pins to install them and you can't tell which louvers have been replaced. Highly recommended!

Like new again!
